was born and raised in Michigan. Hunting Whitetails has always been a way of life for Owen. He began tagging along with his father at a very young age hunting, fishing and trapping. Owen soon realized his passion for the outdoors and especially his passion for the elusive whitetail deer. 

Owen is a long time student of bowhunting
whitetails and whitetail behavior. He continues
to learn about them on a daily basis through
observation on his 20 acre research facility. He
has also devoted countless hours to reading,
watching, filming, studying and of course
hunting whitetail deer, mule deer, and elk.

Over the past 24 years of bowhunting, Owen
has harvested over 50 Whitetail bucks, 5 mule
deer and 3 bull elk. As Owen began to pour his
heart and soul into bowhunting Whitetails in
Southwest Michigan the results soon followed,
harvesting 6 bucks that would surpass the
minimum for Commerative Bucks of Michigan in
each of the last 6 seasons he hunted there.

It wasn't until he decided to make a huge
decision and move to Iowa in search of better
hunting that his dreams began to come true.
Over the past eight seasons Owen has
harvested 14 pope and young bucks with the
top five averaging over 176" gross. 

Owen will be the first one to tell you that he has been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to
harvest such deer but he also feels you have to pay your dues through hard work and dedication to be
successful on a consistent basis.

Owen now enjoys the challenge of hunting specific deer of a certain age class and utilizes trail cameras
to help pinpoint the core areas and travel routes of specific bucks. He also enjoys turning average
hunting properties into big buck honey holes through habitat improvement by creating and improving
security cover and strategically placing food plots.  Owen feels very fortunate to be able to combine his passion for the outdoors with his career working for Midwest Whitetail Land Company and helping
others realize their dreams of hunting and harvesting monster bucks and enjoying the outdoors.
