Matt Engle . . .

Like so many other people, Matt's journey begins with memories of his father's love for hunting and the outdoors. At an early age, Matt would listen tentatively as his father's excitement and
adrenaline would rise while he told stories at the dinner table. This turned into waiting up late many evenings wondering if
there would be something in the bed of dad's pick-up as he
pulled in the drive.

Finally, the time came when Matt would accompany his father to track and retrieve a deer. . . THAT WAS IT. . .he had experienced the thrill of the hunt, and things would never be the same. From there,
as a youngster, Matt spent many days in the woods. Matt loved the challenge of getting as close as
possible to animals, whether they knew he was there or not.

Growing up, Matt's hunting consisted mostly of gun-hunting for Whitetails. It was not long before Matt
was out of the house and on his own. Providing for a family and running several small businesses took
up the bulk of his time, leaving little time for hunting. Finally, Matt came back to the joy and
satisfaction of hunting with a bow, the challenges and trials it provides and the great surprise of
finding out how much his entire family enjoys it as well.

Being outside, going to bow shoots, and understanding the many simple life lessons that hunting
provides--being patient, facing and overcoming challenges, conquering pressure, building relationships,
the sense of accomplishment--and many, many other things presented by the travels of the outdoors
are the reasons why Matt is addicted to hunting.
