Today Nic’s passion for deer and deer hunting has
only deepened. Nic’s
world still revolves around deer. To acknowledge Nic’s true passion
for deer, his pastor added the words, “through sickness and health,
through deer season and not” to his wedding vows to his wife Kristen.
When not hunting, Nic teaches US History,
Economics, Consumer Education and Video Editing in Mahomet, Illinois
just outside of Champaign. Nic’s school duties also include Head
Baseball Coach at both the High School and Junior High and Assistant
Girl’s Basketball coach. Nic
also brought the National Archery in School’s Program to Mahomet and
another area high school.
Nic enjoys spending his time chasing and filming
large whitetails in the state of Illinois. Nic feels very lucky to
benefit from the quality and quantity of deer that Illinois offers. In
the future, Nic looks forward to the opportunity to travel outside of
his home state to hunt deer.
Nic lives by the quote “Your focus determines
your reality.” He knows that hard work and a great deal of focus allow
him to accomplish his goals, including filming his deer hunts
professionally for 5 years. |
